Cancer Disparities

A community-based participatory research approach will: 1) Identify the combinations of community-based settings that maximize coverage and convergence for interventions with AAs and Latinos; 2) Identify opportunities to address cancer disparities through multi-setting interventions that maximize coverage and convergence; and 3) Estimate the cost and cost-effectiveness of the different multi-setting intervention strategies. An Advisory Board will identify the top 10 settings frequented by AA and Latinos; then a social network analysis will be conducted to quantify the extent of convergence among the settings. Once the settings that maximize coverage and convergence of health information and interventions are identified, new methods to develop and test our approaches will be used in a larger trial.
