Evidence Academies

Evidence Academies are regional and statewide meetings that promote evidence-based interventions in response to community-identified health and health care priorities. Evidence-based interventions have been proven in research studies to be effective in specific populations and settings. They are best clinical and public health practices that are ready for implementation within North Carolina communities. NC SPEED
- sponsored a Colorectal Cancer Academy in Waynesville in March 2010
- co-sponsored a Breast Cancer Academy in Tarboro in May 2010, and
- conducted a Tobacco and Lung Cancer Evidence Academy in Asheville, NC on November 4, 2011 and in Wilmington, NC on November 18, 2011.
